Officers were patrolling the area of 1770 East Main Street in Yorktown on Monday, Feb. 18 around 11:45 a.m. when suspicious activity was observed within a parked vehicle.
Yorktown Police say they approached the vehicle and observed the occupant, Dennis Delosangeles of the Bronx, using cocaine.
Further investigation and a search of the car led to the discovery of Alprazolam pills, Endocet pills, MDMA pills, tabs of acid and around 21.5 grams of marijuana, according to police.
Delosangeles was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. He was charged with:
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor
- Unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation
Delosangeles was held on $5,000 cash or bond and remanded to the custody of the Westchester Department of Corrections. He is scheduled to return to Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Feb. 21.
